ART + TECHNOLOGY MOCK PROJECT PROPOSALS
A creative technologies class sits at the four way stop between art, technology, process, and novelty.
In this project, students are granted permoision to take extraordinary poetic and creative licence regardless of ability, finance, and feasibility to propose a pie in the sky art project that incoporates an existing technology. One thing that my colleagues an I have to do in the real world, is secure resources for our projects. While the term stakeholder is something I try to sheild first year stduents from, the idea of proposal making, compelling visioning, and integrated technology is something that I endorse whole-heartedly.
The below galleries represent successful synthesis.
With approval, students are then asked to craft a budget. The most successful projects align resources, creative application of a technology in service of novel outcome or applications.
With continued institutional support from the Institute for Creativity Art and Technology at Virginia Tech, future projects have a shot at winning MINISEAD undergraduate support project grants.
