ART 3704 Soft modeling builds upon skills gleaned from 3D computer animation. Technical teaching involved Z brush and the newly developed Substance designer and painter as a part of a 3D workflow.
Students had the semester to develop a single project around the subject of monsters.
We used ‘production milestones’ method to ensure accountabiity along the way.
Looking to the cultural and parrasocial historic origins of monsters students examined their own lived experiences to model the monsters in their own image.
